Othaman, the wife of flight MH370 steward Hazrin Mohamad Hasnan, has finally
come to terms with what has happened.
Intan Maizura Othaman however said that she needs to remain strong for her two children-Iman and Muhammad.
“I will move on and raise our children. I will work as usual and with the support provided by my family and friends, everything will be fine.
“To be honest he is my buddy and my husband, and I accept what has happened. I hope his soul rests in peace,” said Intan when she spoke to reporters during the yassin and tahlil prayers held at her home on Wednesday.
The saddest moment for any parent is when a child calls out for a parent and enquires of their whereabouts after not returning home.
When asked on how she pacified her children about the father’s whereabouts, Intan said that she had to tell them that Hazrin has gone to work.
“She asked about her papa. So I told her that papa went to work, his plane faced problems and that papa will not return home because he is in heaven,” said Intan.
Hazrin’s friends who also attended the prayers said that this was an incident which must to be faced with an open heart.
“We still hope that we can find Rin and the other crew and also the passengers. But nevertheless, we have to repent and pray to God,” said Hazrin's friend, Huzaini Hassan.
When asked on how they were supporting Intan in this time of need; Shah Redza Mohd Radzi another of Hazrin’s friend said: “ Intan is my very good friend. I have known her for almost 10 years. She really needs support from us .”
